Another great day @ Heritage!

Heritage families enjoyed a wonderful Father’s Day service last Sunday.

There were smiles everywhere as we honored dads. We heard testimonies about the impact dads make on our lives. We heard dads talk about the joys and challenges of being a father.

We had some great special music : “I wanna be just like You, cause he wants to be like me” (Thanks, guys!).

Most of all, we laughed uproariously at the latest video from our Heritage kids. Here it is. Enjoy!

Even Papas (Grandpas) love Father’s Day!

What’s not to love, right?

Heritage believes MEN are called to be the:

* Spiritual leaders of their home, church, and community.

* Initiators of progress and victory in the work of the Kingdom of God.

* Visionaries who “see” God’s purpose for their family and lead them in the direction of blessing.

That’s a BIG job! But, we believe it can be done, and we are determined to help.

Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.”

Heritage focuses ministry on helping men to become the gentle, selfless, courageous spiritual leaders they are called to be. Men, you can count on us to teach, challenge, equip, and support you. In short… “sharpen” you!

What does that have to do with Father’s Day? Just this… On Father’s Day, June 20th, we will honor the dads of Heritage for their commitment to Jesus and to their families.

We will help you say, “Thanks, Dad” for all these guys invest in our lives.

So, Dads, bring your kids to Heritage. Kids, bring your Dad.

We’ll help you celebrate by blessing, encouraging, supporting, and challenging him on his special day.

At Heritage, we believe in NEW BEGINNINGS! The Christian faith is all about new beginnings. The Bible is a book of new beginnings. And, well, that's the point of Easter. On that first Easter, the followers of Jesus were discouraged thinking all was lost. Then, Jesus rose from the dead! it was the beginning of a brand new era. From that moment, the message of the church was..."Jesus can make you new! You can be born again. You can have a New Beginning!"

Easter Sunday may just be your best opportunity to experience your own New Beginning. Are you curious or intrigued by the possibilities of a real relationship with God? Is your life or marriage headed in the wrong direction? Have you been thinking, "Our family needs to find a good church"? Well, here's your chance. Round up the whole family and come to our Easter service at Heritage. I promise you will be encouraged and uplifted by the service. I promise you will hear a clear and powerful message of hope. This could be the day that changes your life and family forever. This could be your chance for a fresh start.

So, think about it. It IS Easter, after all. Everybody goes to church on Easter Sunday. Right? So... come. Then, watch what God can do to change your life!

One more thing. Come a little early that morning. The espresso bar will be open. Grab a latte and spend some time getting to know a few of your neighbors @ Heritage. God is doing great things here. Come and get in on the excitement!

Good things happening in the Men's Ministry @ Heritage -

Every Thursday @ 7pm, men from Heritage meet @ Chad Minnick's house for a challenging time of spiritual "guy stuff". These are our "Man Up!" meetings. We have a great group of guys who come each week for teaching and discussion of issues directly relating to our role as men. Let's face it. There are lots of challenges facing the guy who wants to become a godly man today! These men's group meetings will inform, instruct, "stretch", and equip you for that calling.

We are presently using Stu Weber's book "Tender Warrior" as a resource. It's an awesome call to authentic spirituality and biblical manhood. So, guys... Want in? Just show up at Chad's house on Thursday @ 7pm or call him at 425.327.3602 for info.

"Happy Ever After" small group marriage study happening NOW @ Heritage -

Every Sunday at 2:30pm, a group of 25-30 people meet to learn how to make their marriages better. We are working through the books you see posted here. "Every Man's Marriage" and "Every Woman's Marriage".

These books are dynamite! Pastor Minnick says, "In 37 years of ministry, I've never seen books that "hit the bulls-eye" like these two books. If you come to this class and apply the things you learn here, you WILL have a better marriage!"

This class is having a dramatic impact! Maybe you want to hear it from a couple that is participating in the class. Following one of the chapters in the book, the men had a homework assignment. The assignment called for each man to "interview" his wife asking hard questions about the vitality of their marriage. Here's a report from one of the husbands:

"We were only able to go over the first 2 questions (there are 25!). I believe Carmen was very honest with me. At first, she wasn't sure whether to answer the questions based on how I had done in the past, or how I've been doing recently. I told her to look at all the past, since the changes in my life are so new since I trusted Christ. I told her I need to know how to work on meeting her most important desires for our marriage. I had to use the book to explain the things we are learning about "oneness in marriage" and "honoring her essence". It was a really good night of talking and sharing. Probably the closest we have been in years!" - David

Heritage Women begin new Bible Study -

Beth Moore's excellent Bible Study "Esther - It's Tough Being A Woman" is going on RIGHT NOW at Heritage. The group meets every Wednesday at 7pm @ the church. It's an evening of teaching and discussion that is filled with life-changing principles drawn from one of the truly great stories in scripture - the story of Esther.
